Our Philosophy
  • Rather than relying on a system that simply "accepts" or "rejects" submissions for the journal, we strive to be as all-encompassing as possible. Our goal is to encourage and empower writers and artists to voice their stories and ideas.
  • Our editing team will review each submission carefully and will provide feedback to the writer/artist. We aim for the editing process to be a two-way dialogue. We will inform the writers if grammatical changes need to be made and will provide suggestions for content and structure; however, we also wish to respect the stylistic choices of the authors and to honor the stories/ideas in their authentic form.
  • We will NOT, however, accept content that is sexually explicit, discriminatory to any group based on race/ethnicity/nationality/sexual orientation/gender identity/ability, or that reveals personal details about a person without their consent (please abide by HIPAA regulations: www.hhs.gov/hipaa/for-professionals/security/laws-regulations/index.html).
